Dr. Nicholas Kamara Nominated to Defend Kabale Municipality MP Seat
Kabale — The incumbent Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality, Dr. Nicholas Kamara, has been officially nominated to contest for re-election on the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) ticket after serving one successful term in Parliament. His nomination was confirmed by Ms. Aisha Nansubuga, the Kabale District Returning Officer, at the Electoral Commission offices on Wednesday.
Speaking shortly after his nomination, Dr. Kamara, a medical doctor by profession, reaffirmed his commitment to improving the quality of life for the people of Kabale Municipality through initiatives in healthcare, agriculture, education, and infrastructure.
Dr. Kamara highlighted his notable contributions to the health sector, where he has donated ultrasound scan machines, procured an ambulance, and provided mama kits to expectant mothers to ensure safer deliveries. He emphasized that his support has extended beyond Kabale Municipality to benefit communities across the entire Kabale District.
“My priority has always been saving lives and ensuring that every mother and child in Kabale has access to quality health services,” he said.
As a member of the Parliamentary Health Committee, Dr. Kamara has played a key role in advocating for improved facilities and service delivery in government hospitals across Uganda. He expressed pride in his efforts to strengthen the country’s healthcare system, both locally and nationally.
Beyond health, Dr. Kamara has also supported agricultural development, distributing maize seedlings, pigs, goats, and other livestock to local farmers as part of his effort to boost household income and food security.
Looking ahead, he pledged to build on his achievements by focusing on better roads, quality education, and community empowerment programs aimed at uplifting the living standards of his constituents.
“I believe in the greatness of Kabale and the potential of our people. My goal is to continue improving their well-being through practical, people-centered leadership,” he added.
Dr. Kamara’s re-election bid is strengthened by his hands-on approach, professional expertise, and track record of service delivery, particularly in the health sector. His leadership continues to resonate with voters who see him as a dedicated representative committed to tangible progress and community development.
