Jessy Aine Nominated to Contest for Kabale Municipality MP Seat
Kabale – The Electoral Commission returning officer for Kabale District, Aisha Nsubuga, officially nominated Jessy Aine to contest as Member of Parliament representing Kabale Municipality on the (F.DC) ticket.
Speaking to journalists shortly after his nomination at the Electoral Commission offices in Kabale, Aine pledged to bring transformation and inclusive development to Kabale Municipality, promising to focus on fulfilling his party’s manifesto.
Aine expressed concern that despite Kabale being approved by Parliament and assented to by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to attain city status, the area has not yet realized this milestone due to what he described as “selfish leadership.”
“If elected, I will ensure that we hold village barazas in every cell to promote development, unity, and fight the evil of sectarianism that has affected Kabale for years,” Aine said.
He further revealed plans to establish a business and tourism hub in Kabale, emphasizing the municipality’s strategic location and natural beauty as key opportunities for economic growth.
Aine called upon residents to support his vision for a more vibrant, inclusive, and economically empowered Kabale.
