Aja Baryayanga Pledges to Promote Sports and Development in Kabale Municipality
The National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for Kabale Municipality, Hon. Andrew Aja Baryayanga, has pledged to continue promoting sports as a way to boost Kabale and put it on the national map.
Moments after his nomination on Thursday afternoon at the Electoral Commission offices in Makanga, Kabale District, Aja said he will focus on empowering young people by helping them develop their talents and skills.
He added that he is a development-oriented leader who plans to continue improving key sectors such as health, road infrastructure, and education.
Aja, who previously served as the Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality for two terms until 2021, was defeated in the last election by Hon. Nicholas Kamara, the current incumbent.
He acknowledged that the upcoming race will be a stiff contest, but expressed confidence that his message of continued development will resonate with voters.
The official launch of his campaign is scheduled for November 10, during which he will outline his plans and explain what he intends to do better for the people of Kabale Municipality.
