Bruce Kabaasa Nominated for Rubanda West MP Seat, Pledges to Improve Social Services and Education
Bruce Baraba Kabaasa has been officially nominated to contest for the Rubanda West Member of Parliament seat on the National Resistance Movement (NRM) ticket ahead of the January 2026 General Elections.
Speaking to journalists shortly after his nomination, Kabaasa pledged to focus on improving social services and the overall welfare of the people of Rubanda West.
He outlined his key priorities as the upgrading of road infrastructure, improving access to quality healthcare, and extending clean and safe water to underserved communities across the constituency.
In a special commitment to education, Kabaasa announced plans to provide lunch for Primary Seven pupils in both government and private schools. He said poor academic performance in the area is partly due to children attending school without meals, adding that his school feeding initiative will help improve concentration, attendance, and academic outcomes.
Kabaasa emphasized that his campaign is focused on service delivery, inclusive development, and uplifting living standards for all residents of Rubanda West.
“My goal is to ensure that every child learns on a full stomach, every family has access to basic services, and every community in Rubanda West experiences real development,” Kabaasa said.
