A 14-year-old boy has died following a brutal attack in Nyarurambi Cell, Kasheshe Parish in Buyanja Sub-County, Rukungiri District. The deceased, identified as Twinamatsiko Kam, a student and resident of the area, succumbed to injuries he sustained after being assaulted by two fellow teenagers on the evening of November 7, 2025.

According to police, the deceased was walking with his friend, Edwin Niwenyesiga, when they were ambushed by Muhumuza George (14) and Akanyijuka Eden (16). One of the suspects, armed with a panga, allegedly accused the victim of calling him a pig thief before attacking him and inflicting deep cuts to his head.

After the assault, the suspects fled the scene. Niwenyesiga, who witnessed the attack, immediately alerted the victim’s relatives. Twinamatsiko was rushed to Nyakibale Hospital and later referred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. However, he died on the way.
