‎Security authorities have confirmed the arrest of a prison warder suspected of killing four people, including a senior officer, in a shooting incident at Kiboga Prison.
‎
‎According to SSP Josephine Angucia, the Police Public Relations Officer for the West Nile Region, the suspect, Warder Anguyo, was arrested in Aru Town in the Democratic Republic of Congo following a coordinated security operation involving police and prison officers from Arua District, particularly Vurra, as well as officials from the Prisons Headquarters.
‎
‎She noted that prior to the arrest, security agencies had detained three individuals linked to the suspect—two of his brothers and a girlfriend—whose information reportedly led authorities to his whereabouts across the border.
‎
‎Anguyo is currently being held at the Aru Territorial Headquarters in Ituri Province, DR Congo, as arrangements are underway to transfer him back to Uganda to face charges in Kiboga District, where the incident occurred.
‎
‎Police say more details will be released as investigations progress.
