Bushenyi – Ms Vianah Kemigisha, popularly known as Nyamunyonyi, officially launched her campaign for Bushenyi Woman Member of Parliament today with a colorful and energetic procession in Nyakabirizi Division.

Ms Kemigisha’s campaign kicked off in an unusual but eye-catching style as she rode through the streets in a tuku-tuku, drawing large crowds of supporters who joined her in cheering and chanting campaign slogans. The move was aimed at engaging the community directly and demonstrating her connection with ordinary citizens.

“I want to reach out to every woman in Bushenyi and show that I understand their daily struggles. Today marks the start of a campaign that will focus on empowering women, improving education, and supporting local development,” Ms Kemigisha told journalists.

The rally saw a diverse turnout including youth groups, community leaders, and local residents, all showing enthusiasm for her campaign launch. Ms Kemigisha’s approach highlights a grassroots strategy intended to connect personally with voters ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Campaign organizers say the tuku-tuku rally is the first of several planned community engagement events across Bushenyi District.
