FDC Presidential Candidate Nandala Mafabi Receives Warm Welcome in Obongi Ahead of Campaign Rally
Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Hon. Nathan Nandala Mafabi on Tuesday received an enthusiastic welcome upon arrival in Obongi District, where he is set to address a major campaign rally.
Residents, party supporters, youth groups, and local leaders gathered in large numbers, lining the streets as Mafabi’s convoy entered the district. Supporters were seen chanting FDC slogans and waving party flags in a show of strong solidarity.
Speaking shortly after his arrival, Nandala Mafabi thanked the people of Obongi for their warm reception and pledged to focus on improving service delivery, tackling corruption, and ensuring equitable development across the country.
“We are here to share our message of accountability, fairness and a government that works for all Ugandans. Uganda has the resources to prosper, but corruption has eaten away our opportunities. We are committed to changing that,” Mafabi said.
He is expected to outline his key campaign priorities which include improving local roads, expanding access to healthcare and education, and supporting youth employment and farmers.
After the rally in Obongi, Nandala Mafabi is scheduled to travel to Moyo District where he will hold another campaign meeting later in the day as part of his ongoing national tour.
The FDC candidate continues to traverse various regions of the country, rallying support ahead of the 2026 general elections.
