Macro Hardware Gives Back to IGUKA: 15 Seats Donated, Football Uniforms on the Way
Kabale, November 21, 2025 — In a strong demonstration of community support and corporate social responsibility, Macro Hardware Ltd. has donated 15 metallic compound seats to St. Ignatius University, Kabale (IGUKA). The handover took place ON Thursday , reinforcing Macro Hardware’s commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in the region.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Joram Bwambare, Director of Macro Hardware Kabale, said, “At Macro Hardware we believe it is our responsibility to give back to society, especially to developing institutions like IGUKA that are shaping the future of our youth.” His remarks accentuated the company’s belief in building not just business, but community.
Fr. Prof. Maximiano Ngabirano, Vice Chancellor of IGUKA, gratefully received the seats on behalf of the university. He noted that the new furniture would significantly improve student life – providing comfortable spots for discussion, rest, and informal study. “These compound seats directly address a challenge we have faced for some time,” he said. “They will enhance the learning atmosphere and foster greater interaction among our students.”
The donation is part of a broader partnership between Macro Hardware and IGUKA. In addition to the seats, Macro Hardware pledged to deliver a complete football uniform set — including jerseys, shorts, socks, shoes, and a coach’s kit — to the university’s sports ground on November 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Macro Hardware’s ongoing support is part of a growing trend of local businesses stepping up to support education in Uganda, particularly in developing institutions. For IGUKA, still expanding and maturing, such contributions make a meaningful difference — creating both a more welcoming campus environment and new opportunities for student engagement.
