Bishop-Elect Gubazire’s Ordination Set for October 3 in Kabale
KABALE, Uganda — The Catholic Diocese of Kabale has announced that the episcopal ordination and installation of Bishop-elect Msgr. Bonaventure Bosco Gubazire will take place on October 3, 2026, at Rushoroza Cathedral.
The announcement was made by the Apostolic Administrator of Kabale Diocese, Bishop Callist Rubaramira, in a pastoral letter addressed to priests, religious, and the faithful following the Holy Father’s appointment of Msgr. Gubazire as the new Bishop of Kabale.
Bishop Rubaramira urged Catholics across the diocese to keep the bishop-elect in their prayers and to take an active role in preparing for the historic celebration. He also appealed for financial and material support to ensure the successful organization of the ordination ceremony, with further guidance to be provided by the diocesan ordination committee.
The ordination is expected to bring together bishops, priests, religious, government officials, and thousands of faithful from Uganda and beyond as the Kabale Diocese welcomes its new shepherd.
