Candidates Urged to Remain Confident as PLE Exams Begin Next Week
As the country prepares to begin the Primary Leaving examinations next Monday, candidates have been encouraged to remain confident and aim for excellence. This call was made during a dedication mass held on Saturday at Bishop Asili Nursery and Primary School Kabale, one of the top-performing schools in the country known for its consistent academic excellence.
Speaking during the event, Major (Rtd) Godfrey Katamba, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kabale, advised candidates to stay focused and manage their time wisely during the exams

“Candidates should read each question at least three times, check their spelling, ensure they write the correct answers, and be conscious of time,” he emphasized.
In his remarks, Mr. Isaiah Kanyamahane, the RDC of Kitagwenda District, commended Bishop Asili Nursery and Primary School for being a model of excellence.

“This school has produced great results over the years. If your predecessors succeeded, you too can succeed,” he encouraged the candidates.
He further praised the school for excelling not only in academics but also in music, sports, and discipline, noting that such a balanced approach has contributed to its strong reputation.
Sister Margaret Tusiime, the Head Teacher, expressed gratitude to parents for their trust and continued support. She noted that the school recently acquired a playground of about seven plots opposite the main campus, which allows pupils to engage in regular physical activities.

“We thank our parents for entrusting us with their children. We promise to always prioritize their well-being and education,” she said.
Sister Tusiime also revealed that the school, which currently has 80 teachers, has secured accommodation for staff within close proximity to the school. This, she explained, enables teachers to dedicate more time to supporting pupils, especially during this crucial examination period.
As the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) draw near, the message from educators and local leaders remains clear — confidence, preparation, and discipline are key to success.
