Bonnar Company Limited Accelerates Growth from Kigezi to Uganda
KABALE — Bonnar Company Limited is moving fast in expanding its construction and civil engineering operations from the Kigezi region to other parts of Uganda, building on a portfolio of projects in education, health and infrastructure.
The company, which specialises in building construction, road works, water works, civil engineering, structural works, renovations, engineering design, technical installations and welding, has established itself through projects that have contributed to infrastructure development and employment in local communities.
Engineer Mwesigye Amburozi of Bonnar Company Limited said the company is rapidly increasing its capacity and looking beyond its traditional area of operation.

“Bonnar Company Limited is moving fast. We are expanding our capacity and looking beyond Kigezi so that we can take part in more development projects across Uganda,” Amburozi said.
Among the projects highlighted by the company is the construction of NYINABIRE Community Project in Kabale District, involving a technical school with specialised construction components. The project has contributed to local employment and supported access to technical education for young people.
The company has also undertaken external works and construction of a retaining wall at Buramba Health Centre III, including drainage works. According to the company, the retaining structure has helped address soil-sliding problems around the health centre while improving storm-water drainage.
Another project highlighted by the company is the construction of a DHO office block, aimed at providing additional office space for district health services. The project has also created employment opportunities for people in the surrounding community.
Bonnar says its projects are guided by a focus on delivering within agreed time, budget and quality requirements, while using technology-driven project management to improve efficiency.
The company has invested in construction equipment including trucks, vans, excavators, rollers and other site machinery, strengthening its ability to undertake major civil engineering and building works.
Amburozi said the company’s growth is also about creating opportunities for Ugandans.
“Our focus is not only on growing the company. We want our projects to create employment, develop skills and contribute to the communities where we operate,” he said.
With its experience in Kigezi and growing technical and equipment capacity, Bonnar Company Limited is now positioning itself for a wider role in Uganda’s construction and infrastructure sector.
From projects in Kabale and surrounding districts to its planned expansion across Uganda, Bonnar’s next chapter is one of growth, infrastructure and opportunity.
